    Prevalence is defined as the number of cases of a given disease in a specified population at a designated time per 100,000 people. Nutritional deficiencies include protein-energy malnutrition, iodine deficiency, vitamin A deficiency, iron-deficiency anemia, and other nutritional deficiencies.
