Hydrofluorocarbon emissions

gigagrams of CO2 equivalent, 1990–2014

Info Edit

Hydrofluorocarbons are organic compounds used as refrigerants. They do not harm the ozone layer if they do not contain chlorine or bromine. However, their atmospheric concentrations are rapidly increasing, causing international concern about their rising contribution to anthropogenic radiative emissions.
